Awareness Month

In March 2025, ColoMARK DN took part in Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month with the StepApp Challenge. Our community walked, ran, and moved together—reaching an impressive 2,501,144 steps!

The challenge ended on 31 March – Colorectal Cancer Day, reminding us all that every step counts in raising awareness and supporting research.

EV Protein Extraction & Validation at LUMC

Andrés Garisoain Zafra’s secondment at Leiden University Medical Center from 6–31 January 2025 focused on mastering extracellular vesicle (EV) protein extraction and validation using Western blot, marking a key step forward in ColoMARK’s colorectal cancer biomarker research. 🚀🔬

ColoMARK at the EACR Conference on Liquid Biopsies 2024

The ColoMARK group attended the EACR Conference on Liquid Biopsies in Lyon, France, from November 12-14, 2024, gaining insights into the latest advancements in cancer diagnostics. Key highlights included integration of liquid biopsies into clinical trials, new biomarker discovery techniques, and discussions on Artificial Intelligence in data analysis, along with exciting sessions on cutting-edge technologies like cfDNA methylation and extracellular vesicle-based biomarkers.
